About CSES

What is CSES?

CSES is the Carleton Student Engineering Society, the largest undergraduate engineering association at Carleton. All CSES initiatives have been 100% volunteer-run since 1979. CSES is proud to support students academically, professionally, and socially through the following initiatives:

  • Kostiuk Engineering Funding Collective (KEFC)
  • Textbook Library
  • Equipment Loan Program
  • Academic Workshops
  • Conferences and Conference Support
  • Carleton Engineering Competition
  • Iron Ring Day
  • National Engineering Month
  • Formal Events
  • Leonardo’s Lounge
  • Merchandise

In addition to our core programming, CSES is dedicated to academic and professional advocacy. CSES Program Representatives make up the largest united advocacy group within the Carleton Academic Student Government (CASG) and CSES represents Carleton Engineering students at the provincial and national level to the Engineering Student Societies’ Council of Ontario and the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students. Students from all years of engineering have the opportunity to represent Carleton at conferences across Ontario and Canada, subsidized by CSES.
